Sorry for not posting earlier today! Nolan has a closed chest! He did really well and has continued to tolerate it being closed. They finished up right before lunch today. He is a feisty little thing and it's been hard to keep him sedated today. He really really wants to open his eyes and see us! He can hear me and he starts trying to kick his legs like he is doing a jig. I tried to stay back most of the day because we aren't quite ready for him to be doing all that! We are so excited about his progress. Next big thing will be getting some fluid off of him and then get off of the vent. The PICU nurses have been amazing and have really made him comfortable. All in all, he had another great day. We are so so thankful. I've been sending up prayers of thanks non-stop. I hope tonight stays on trend! Please keep him in your prayers we still have a long way to go.
